Stimulus Checks Being Printed

Americans will begin seeing their government stimulus checks soon. Checks started rolling off the printing presses today at four hundred per minute. The government economic stimulus checks will be hitting the homes of millions of Americans starting this weekend. The White House hopes the checks help give the struggling US economy a jump-start. Paulson says: "I think we're making some progress and remember the fundamentals of our economy, the long term fundamentals, are healthy. "The purpose of this economic stimulus plan is to give people money to spend, not use the cash to pay their bills. Critics of the 168 billion-dollar plan fear that's exactly what people will do.
