New Officers Sworn In

Two new officers join the Mankato Department of Public Safety. Daniel Gates and Steve Hoppe are the newest members to join the police force in Mankato. Each comes from smaller towns and are happy to call Mankato home. "It's a little bit exciting a little bit of a new adventure in my career in law enforcement and looking forward to it...it's a little bit of a bigger step, bigger community. I think it will be fine." "It's exciting, I've been a police officer since 2003, it's just been routine to be doing that job, and to have this time off where I haven't been doing it been going through the orientation and training again. It's exciting to get back out and back to work. "Their first day was Monday, but they'll officially be on duty starting tomorrow.
