We told you last night about a rash of vandalism and arson in Blue Earth County, Today police continue their investigation. A report of a fire at 5:30 yesterday morning led officials to this vacant home 2 and a half miles north of Minnesota Lake, leaving the abandoned house destroyed. Just a short time later firefighters were called to a separate fire at another vacant home just a few miles away, both of the fires are believed to be arson. Investigators say they have no suspects, but they say there were similar events in Faribault County. Captain Rich Murray of the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office says,'''We do have some leads that we're following up on, there was some evidence collected at the scene and again we're coordinating with Faribault county doing our best to see what we can do to find out who's responsible for this. ''The sheriff's office believes that along with the fires, vandals also damaged mailboxes and broke the windows out of a tractor that will cost $3,00 to fix.The sheriff's office is also investigating five dead lambs and several others injured in their holding pens at a nearby livestock farm. They also believe this is connected to the other incidents. The Minnesota State Fire Marshall is offering a reward in the arson case.
