Celebrating 150 Years For Minnesota

Sunday marks Minnesota's 150th year of statehood. Students at Madelia elementary school are already celebrating. Today they looked at exhibits at a mini Minnesota museum set up in the gym. School officials say it's a fun and interactive way to teach students about history. "We want to instill in our children a sense of community and a feeling of pride both about the community of Madelia and our great state of Minnesota." Parents and faculty brought the displays in. There will be a test though; tomorrow, students will be quizzed over what they learned.
