Farm Bill Emerges from Conference Committee

Lawmakers in Washington have agreed on a new farm bill... but it could die on the vine. Negotiators from the house and senate say the tentative agreement it will be considered in both chambers next week. The five-year, $300 billion bill would boost the Ag Department's food and farm programs. The Bush Administration has objected to the bill; White House budget director Jim Nussle says it still spends too much, relies on budget gimmicks and doesn't have enough reforms.
