Knitting Collective on Tuesday, August 14th from 6:30-7:30 at the North Mankato Taylor Library. Bring your projects and join in! The Knitting Collective meets every Tuesday of the month except the last from 6:30-7:30pm

West 7th St. & Neighbors 38th Block Party! Wed. Aug. 15th 2018 5:45 P.M. Set-Up 6:00 P.M. Dinner. Located at the 300 block of West 7th St.
*In case of rain we will party in the gym at St. Joseph the Worker.* 
• Please bring your own plates, silverware, chairs or blankets to sit on.
• A dish to pass! If any one has a table for food please bring along.
• Come and share friendship and celebrate living in the neighborhood, community and country we do.

Join us for some rockin' themed crafts at the North Mankato Taylor Library on Wednesday August 15th from 2-4pm. Open to ages 10-18. No registration required.

August 16th

Spreading the Kindness, a community rock painting event is taking place Thursday, August 16 in New Ulm. Kindness rocks are rock that are painted with encouraging words and spread throughout the community for others to find. When you find a rock, replace it with another and take that one to a different location to circulate the kindness. Join in the fun at 510 2nd St. North, New Ulm between 6pm-8pm on August 16.

August 17th

Free Food Friday: Game Night from 6:30-8pm! Registration is required and will begin Friday, August 10th. Join us at the North Mankato Taylor Library for food and fun at our monthly free food Friday! Bring your friends! Open to ages 10-18.

August 18th

Benefit for William Edward and his family. On Saturday August 18th there will be a benefit for William at the Eagle Lake American Legion Post 617 (100 North 3rd Street Eagle Lake, MN 56024) There will be a motorcycle poker run at noon with registration beginning at 11am. August 18th

VINTAGE TRACTOR SHOW/COMPETITION. Oak Street, Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. 12:00pm to 4:00pm Antique to mid-70's tractors. Local Authors book signing in Sleepy Eye Museum begins at 1:00pm. Renee Wendinger to give a presentation at museum at 1:00 (free will offering), 10 year old to Adult bounce houses, rope climb, obstacle course, music, games, food, silent auction. August 19th

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to host a Michael W. Smith concert at the Preservation Plaza in Arnold Park. Gates open Sunday, August 19th at 3 p.m. with opening act Ten Seven Band taking the stage at 4 p.m. They will be followed by Jacob Daniel, with Michael W. Smith closing out the night. Tickets are $25 each and will be available that day at the gate. The concert is a fundraiser for the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church building project.

August 19th

The annual Fly-In Drive-In Breakfast will be held on Sunday, August 19th at the Mankato airport from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Come enjoy pancakes, eggs, sausage and more. There will be home built, antique and classic aircraft on display as well as live entertainment. This event is put on by the MN Valley Experimental aircraft association chapter 642, who uses the proceeds to provide scholarships for area students. Tickets are $8 with kids 5 and under free.

August 20th

Grace Lutheran Church is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, August 20th in their fellowship hall located at 320 E Main St. in Mankato. The blood drive starts at 12pm and goes through 5pm. August 24th

New Richland & Waldorf Fire Department Fireman's Dance. There will also be a Burger & Sweet Corn Feed. Music and Entertainment provided by "The Red Dirt Road". The event will be held August 24th from 5:30-9:00 at the beautifully restored JR's Barn in rural Waldorf.

August 26th

Cone with a Cop-Sunday at Culvers, 1860 Commerce Drive, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Join your neighbors and Police Officers for cones and conversations!  No agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officer in your neighborhood! Join us for the annual Hog Roast and Pie Auction at Ingham Lake Bible Camp! Thanks for the help of the Ingham Auxiliary and other great volunteers, the Hog Roast is a great time to come and celebrate a great summer of ministry at Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camps, and enjoy a delicious meal. Amboy is having a blood drive from 1:30 to 6:30pm at the Presbyterian Church in Amboy.

September 3rd

Godahl Day takes place on Labor Day. Entertainment starts at 9:30am. Queen Voting goes from 9am-12pm. Parade at 12:30pm with a Queen Coronation to take place afterwards. Food is available all day in the dining hall, concession stand and the popcorn house. Messy Bessy contest, Bingo games, and music throughout the day. 

September 8th

The 6th annual Southern MN Autism Motorcycle and Classic Car Ride takes place Saturday, September 8. Registration begins at 11 am. The 17th Annual Mankato Pride takes place on Saturday September 8th at the Riverfront Park. The parade starts at 11:30am and the rest of the events start at noon and goes until 5pm. There will be music, food, and other fun activities. The event is FREE and open to the public.

The Alzheimer's Association is proud to hold its 25th Mankato Walk to End Alzheimer's. Please join us for the Friendship Family Fall 2018 Kick Off. The FFP matches international students with families like yours to build relationships and enhance understanding of other cultures. The Friendship Family Kick-Off Event is a great time for Mankato area residents to meet their international student match. The Kearney Center for International Student Services will provide light refreshments for the evening. 
The first half an hour will be free time to mingle and get to know your new friends. From 7pm-8pm, we will go over program expectations and rules. November 17th

Come and support South Central Beyond the Yellow Ribbon at their 3rd Annual Chilifest located at the Morson-Ario-Strand VFW Post 950 (1900 N Riverfront Dr. Mankato). There will be a chili feed, silent auction and kids activities throughout the day. Cost is $10 at the door and military members get in for free. The event starts at 11am and goes through 2pm.
