It was the first day of school for kindergarten through eighth grades at Mankato public schools.Parents and buses lined the streets to take the kids home.These kids dressed in their new clothes and carrying their backpacks from Hoover elementary in north Mankato were excited to see their parents greet them as the day came to end.
