The Republican National Convention is officially over... and eight local police officers are home after offering their services to the convention.North Mankato, Chief of Police Mike Pulis and seven other officers spent four long days in St. Paul protecting dignitaries attending the RNC...Over four hundred police officers from around the state lent their support to the event.Chief Pulis says the event went smoothly because of the extensive planning done by St. Paul P.D. and the professionalism of those involved.Chief of Police Mike Pulis says, "There was incredible pressure up there, long hours, some pretty nasty people that we ran into, had contact with and just the respect and dignity that was displayed, I'm very proud of that."Tonight on the Fox Mankato News at Nine we'll hear from more officers home from the RNC and the details of their experiences.
