Congressman Tim Walz is sponsoring a three - step, bipartisan energy plan in Washington, but his opponent this November, Republican Brian Davis, is calling the plan "too complicated." The statement prompted State Representative Terry Morrow (DFL - St. Peter), and Walz's campaign manager to explain the plan, which is sponsored by more than 131 members of Congress from both sides of the aisle.
The plan calls for expansion of offshore drilling and increased tax revenue from big oil companies, which leads to money for alternative energy.
Rep. Terry Morrow says, "Investing this money in new, clean energy technologies. And this is why I believe the Walz Bipartisan plan is critically important for southern Minnesota."
The Walz campaign also sent a letter today explaining the energy plan to the Davis campaign.
