A motorcyclist suffers minor injuries after accidentally hitting a deer in Le Sueur County this afternoon.

It happened on Highway 60 west of Waterville just before 1:30. Authorities say it appears the driver of the motorcycle locked up the brakes before striking the young deer.

The driver was taken to ISJ by North ambulance with what are described as minor injuries to the head and shoulder.
