Congressman Tim Walz secures $400,000 in federal funding for the city of Owatonna.

The money will go toward protecting residents and businesses from flooding.  The money came from the continuing Resolution, which passed Congress last week, and was signed into law yesterday by President Bush.

Over a three-year period from June 2004 to September 2007 Owatonna experienced over 10 million dollars in flood damage to public and private buildings.
