Walz Discusses Issues with Seniors

The economic bailout still has many people wondering when the crisis will end.Congressman Tim Walz was in town today to address that issue.Walz talked to constituents at Oak Terrace West apartments this afternoon about problems with social security and retirement.The Minnesota Representative voted no, is still hesitant about the bailout and wants to make sure the plan will work.In order for that to happen he feels it will take some compromise.Congressman Tim Walz says, "We've got a lot of work to do, but as I said here to the this group, and this is a group that knows it, they lived through the depression. It's time to get real solutions. It's time to put partisan politics aside and get real solutions."Walz emphasized to the group the importance of keeping social security in tact, and avoiding privatization.
