With ethanol producer VeraSun Energy Corporation filing for bankruptcy, plants in Janesville and Welcome will be delayed indefinitely.News 12's Ryan Gustafson was in Janesville earlier today, and joins us in the studioThe Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based company is seeking 250 million dollars in financing to continue operations at its other plants and to make payroll.But with plant startup in Janesville being delayed indefinitely, what had been the talk of the town is now turning into question marks, though the Janesville mayor says no harmful impact will be felt, seeing as how the plant hasn't started up in the first place.Janesville Mayor Alvin Grams says, "A Delaware judge has approved a loan for a portion of VeraSun's debt from Mankato based AgStar Financial Services, and the company will continue to look for the 250 million dollars they need in financing.We will have more on this story on News 12 at ten, including local reaction from Janesville.Live in the studio, Ryan Gustafson, News 12.
