Space Shuttle Endeavour Returns To Earth

The astronauts on board the Space Shuttle Endeavour are back home tonight after their trip to the International Space Station. The 16-day mission was successful, but as Drew Levinson reports, the astronauts couldn't land in Florida this afternoon. The Space Shuttle made a detour Sunday to California.Bad weather in Florida forced NASA to wave off both attempts at the Kennedy Space Center and land Endeavour at Edwards Air Force Base. The astronauts accomplished a lot up there on the space station. They doubled the size of the sleeping quarters and installed a refrigerator...but from the beginning it was something called a 'urine processor' that all the got attention. The system that turns urine into drinking water needed a plumber's helper. After three failures the unit was finally up and going. And there was joy on Earth and in Space.Things didn't go quite as expected outside the station either.During a spacewalk--the grease gun inside astronaut Heide Stefanyshyn-Piper's tool bag leaked. As she tried to clean it up--the whole bag drifted away.Somewhere there's 100-thousand dollars worth of tools floating in space. In the end--all the tasks of building and repairing and cleaning got done--and the crew home and safe...mission accomplished.Drew Levinson, CBS News, the Kennedy Space Center.
