Waseca City Council Votes to Approve Sewer Rate Increase

Residents in the city of Waseca will have a larger sewer utility bill starting next year.With a vote of 5 to 2, the Waseca City Council passed a rate increase that will boost money taken into the sewer fund by about sixty percent.The increase will be split up among small and medium users, and the city's biggest consumer, the federal prison.Officials say the rate increase will allow Waseca to pay for wastewater improvements.
