Ice jams on the Root and Zumbro rivers are causing flooding in low-lying areas of southeastern Minnesota. The National weather service says the ice jam extends for about three miles and has been forming on the Root River in Hokah, where water has risen out of its banks and flooded some farmland in Houston County. The weather service warns people not to drive across any road covered with water... because it might be too deep to allow a vehicle to cross safely.
