That warm weather helped weaken the ice on area lakes...This driver learned that the hard way today....The truck fell through the ice on Madison Lake, and although no one was hurt... it's a reminder that you have to be careful when driving on the ice. Robert Geving says, "The weaker areas are the areas where the ice shelters have been set up and anglers have been drilling holes through the ice. That ice tends to deteriorate before the solid ice does."This weekend is the deadline to have your icehouses off the lakes.
