A big move is coming up for the City of Eagle Lake...Officials are getting ready to move into a new City Hall. The old city offices were housed in the Olson Chiropractic Office building on Parkway Avenue, right in the middle of town. The new city hall, which will also house the police department, will be just a few blocks to the west. The city administrator says it will give the town more of an identity. Sack Thongvanh says, "It beautifies the community, it shows the residents this is where city hall is. Numerous times you have people going to different locations. They're dropping off bills here, going to city hall over there. So we'll have one location for city hall and the police department." The city expects offices to be moved in the new facility by later in the spring.
