Our top story tonight..New developments on a story we brought you last night about a missing Fairmont woman.Authorites tell us today both her and her boyfriend have been found dead in Worthington.News 12's Jennifer Hudspeth joins us with more.According to the Fairmont Police Department, 24 year old Kelli Jo Cordes of Fairmont along with her 25 year old boyfriend, Patrick Bartman of Worthington have been missing since April 25th.Authorities confirm today that the bodies of both Cordes and Bartman were found yesterday afternoon, at the scene of an apparent car accident in Worthington.Fairmont Police Chief Greg Brolsma has been working on the missing persons case and received the news yesterday.Chief Greg Brolsma says, "It was on Saturday at about 2 pm that we received word from Nobles County that a person in the area had found the vehicle we had been looking for overturned and in a creek in Nobles County and we received word from officials there that both parties were deceased.It's important for us to say that on behalf of the Fairmont Police Department that we are very saddened by this new and we express our sympathies to the families of both parties."Authorities say Cordes was reported missing on April 28th by her family , and both her and Bartman were entered into the National Crime Information Center's Missing Persons File.At this point Fairmont authorities do not suspect foul play.Chief Brolsma says, "We had no reason to believe that Patrick Bartman was involved in any abduction or anything like that, it was just some other thing, based on the welfare of both of them, there was maybe some reason for us to be concerned so they were entered in NCIC as a result of that."The accident is still under investigation and authorities say they have reason to believe that it may have occurred sometime last week.Brolsma says it's the first time a missing person has turned up dead in Fairmont in roughly 5 years.Jennifer Hudspeth News 12.
