A Minnesota State University Mankato student is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly trying to run over a Blue Earth County Deputy over the weekend.Authorities say Adam Lee Danielsen of Sioux Falls swerved towards a deputy trying to make a routine traffic stop.Danielsen was traveling on Highway 169 when a Blue Earth County Deputy spotted him speeding in the opposite direction.When the deputy pulled to the shoulder to try and make the traffic stop, Danielsen allegedly sped up, and struck the deputy's car.Danielsen is now in the Blue Earth County Jail facing first and second degree attempted murder, first and second degree assault, and two counts of fourth degree DWI.Each attempted murder charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.Bail is set at a million dollars without conditions.
