Building Fire in Lewisville

Fire crews are currently on the scene battling a blaze in Lewisville.Residents reporting the fire broke out in the above floors of an old building on Lewis Street and Rockwood around 6:00 tonight.Fire Chief Andy Grier has confirmed the Mayor of Lewisville Denny Jahnz and possibly others are injured.Jahnz was taken from the scene by ambulance; it's not known what the nature of his injuries were, or where he was taken.The building formerly housed a caf, with apartments above, but was vacant at the time of the blaze.Fire crews are now concentrating on keeping the flames away from a neighboring business.The fire is directly across the street from Innovative Cabinetry... which was destroyed by fire February 28th.We have a crew on the scene and will bring you any new information as we receive it.
