A poetry contest earlier this year has local poets leaving a permanent mark on the Mankato City Center.Twin Rivers Center for the arts sponsored a poetry contest early this year.30 poets entered over 80 poems...The eight winning entries were stamped along Riverfront Drive this afternoon.Twin Rivers Center for the Arts Executive Director Shannon Robinson says, "We have a very active poetry and writing community in Mankato, so it's really great to tie them into a project like this."The WordWalk was inspired by a similar project that stamped 99 poems into the sidewalks of Saint Paul.
