It wasn't your typical music being played in Henderson today. The Sibley County Historical Society Museum celebrated its 60th Anniversary by showcasing music boxes and band organs from before the turn of the century. The Music Box Society was in charge of bringing people together for the event. Its vice president Lawrence Crawford says people may not know a whole lot about music boxes, but it's something he's very passionate about. "My dad collected these in the 30's and 40's and he had the choice of them because phonographs were the popular choice. They could reproduce the human voice. Music boxes were a thing of the past. They were very cheap. We've had these in our family for 70 years." In addition to listening to music, those who showed up could stroll through the Sibley County Museum.
