Artists get the chance to showcase their work under sunny skies today in North Mankato.The fifth annual "Art Plash" was held outside of the North Mankato Public Library.All artists who take part donate an item to a silent auction which raises money for the library and also the Blue Earth and Nicollet County Humane Society.Everything from paintings to photography to jewelry were on hand.Event coordinators say today's festivities gives artists are rare chance to sell what they love to do.Cathy Dahl says, "There's very few opportunities for artists to show their work in this area but we've obviously sparked some interest here. We hope to just keep going and keep growing."39 booths were set up today.That's 30 more than when the event started five years ago.
