A Waterville man escapes serious injury this afternoon when a blown truck tire hits his car.It happened just before 3:00 on highway 99 just West of St. Peter.You can tell by the look of this windshield that Brian Pittman is one lucky man. He suffered only minor cuts and had small shards of glass in his hat.The accident left him shaken up, but he still says it was just that: an accident.Brian Pittman says, ''It's a very freak thing. Things are bound to go flat or blow. It happens.''The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the accident. It's unclear if the driver or the company - Mathiowitz Construction - will be cited.
