A North Mankato man familiar with the legal system is set to appear in court again on Monday...The case is regarding an environmental issue that has dragged on for over six years.Dennis Turtle and his wife, Mary Jeanne own Riverbend Estates Mobile Home Park.Several times in the past six years the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has inspected the site and found piles of waste.Officials say the garbage poses a threat to human health and the environment.But, Dennis says they've been collecting the waste with the intention of using it in the future.Dennis Turtle says, "The reason was we were using stuff out of this pile and then as we salvage what we wanted out of it, we would dispose of it, but we would never get a chance to do it."The couple is set to appear in court on Monday.Dennis Turtle served time in jail and was ordered to pay a fine for failing to clean up the same property back in 2003.We'll have more on this story tonight on the Fox Mankato News at Nine.
