Senator Amy Klobuchar was in Mankato today to meet with Veterans and Vikings. On her way to Vikings Training Camp with her father, Jim, former Star Tribune sports writer, the two made a stop at Morson Ario VFW on Riverfront Drive to take some questions and present a flag to the Post. The Senator says it's nice to finally have a 2nd Senator in Washington, and says despite what people are seeing on television, there is progress being made on the health care front.Senator Klobuchar says, "I think it's good we're taking some time. This is 17 percent of the economy. We want to get this right more than get it done quickly, especially for Minnesota where we have some of the highest quality lower cost care. We want to make it more affordable for the people of Minnesota."Senator Klobuchar says she is trying to put incentives for efficiency into the health care bill, so Minnesota taxpayer money isn't going to fund less efficient states.
