Ribs are often a big part of a county fair. There's 95 of them in the state of Minnesota...it's impossible to go to all of them right? Wrong.Susan Miller was at the Treaty Site History Center in Saint Peter today talking about her new book called "Minnesota County Fairs."Over three years she traveled almost 30 thousand miles to every Minnesota County fair. She brought her camera along and snapped 28 thousand pictures...her favorite are compiled in the book. She says each fair offered something different but overall there was one common thread.Susan Miller says, "The thing I took away from it was an incredible sense of community and pride. And I really enjoyed 4H and getting to see that. I think a lot of county fairs are dying out in other states. A couple of them have been close here, but they all seem pretty healthy now."Her book was released in July and can be found in Barnes and Noble. She will officially launch it at this years Minnesota State Fair.
