Fire crews respond to a house fire in Minnesota Lake yesterday afternoon. It happened at 19 Minnesota Avenue around 2:30.Neighbors say the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and that they have been unable to contact the homeowner because he is out of town.Authorities say they were able to put out the fire in a short amount of time thanks to quick thinking by a couple of young boys.Greg Bruegger says, "Some neighbor kids actually found that the house was on fire and called it in right away. When we got here there was already smoke coming out the back. Looks like it started in the basement. Very minimal...more water and smoke damage than anything right now."Authorities say something electrical in the basement was the likely cause of the fire.
