Another Minnesota entrant, Winehaven Winery and Vineyard in Chisago City, was honored as Best Specialty or Fortified Wine for its 2008 La Crescent Slippery Slope Ice Wine.
The award for Best Red went to Lincoln Peak Vineyard and Winery in New Haven, VT, for its Marquette.
The Mac's Creek Vineyards and Winery in Lexington, NE, took home honors for Best White for its Edelweiss.
Sixty commercial wineries from 16 states competed at the University of Minnesota's St. Paul campus.
Winners don't get cash, but they do get bragging rights they can use in their marketing.
The winning bottles will be displayed at the Minnesota State Fair, which runs Thursday through Labor Day.
