Waseca is about to get a jolt of new jobs.That's because of a local manufacturer's plans for an expansion.Fox Mankato's Lisa Cownie tells us what it means for that community...Emerson Network Power Connectivity Solutions is adding around 70 jobs to the 200 it already has in Waseca and should start hiring in the next couple of months.Jobs that come at a critical time for this community...Mayor Srp says, "With the economy in the shape it's in, we are grateful to have this. Grateful to the Emerson folks, and grateful to the city of Waseca to be able to handle something like this."Emerson manufactures products for the wireless communications industry.Company officials say the jobs are the result of its Mesa, Arizona plant closing.The jobs will be both salaried and hourly employeesRoy Srp says, "For any community to get new jobs it is a blessing. For this community it doesn't surprise me that we were fortunate enough to land something like this.
