A North Mankato company seeks a loan to stay in production.Thin Film Technology is located on Commerce Drive, but its parent company is based in Japan.That company has shut down production at the North Mankato office... resulting in layoffs.Thin Film wants to buy them out and become their own owner... but to do so, they're applying for a loan from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development...The city of North Mankato must approve and submit the loan application.
