Welcome back.If you're the type who reaches for a cup of coffee every morning hoping for a little pick me up...You may also be doing yourself a favor by helping to prevent one kind of cancer.Michelle Gielan has that story and more in today's health watch report.The death rate from the H1N1 virus continues to rise especially among the young.The latest numbers show more than 100 kids have died from the virus.19 died last week alone -- making that the largest one-week increase since the outbreak started last spring.Here's another reason for pregnant women to eat their veggies.A new study found children born to mothers who ate plenty of vegetables during pregnancy were less likely to have type 1 diabetes.The risk of developing the disease was twice as high in kids whose moms RARELY ate vegetables while they were pregnant.Coffee may lower a woman's chances of developing endometrial cancer -- WHICH IS cancer of the uterine liningNew research shows women who drink at least two cups of caffeinated coffee a day were able to reduce their risk.Coffee drinking appeared to especially protect overweight and obese women.Those are some of today's top medical stories.I'm Michelle Gielan - CBS News - New York.
