The San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge reopened to commuters this morning after emergency repairs shut it down for the better part of a week.Caltrans spokesman Bart Ney says the repairs passed final inspections with flying colors,Ney said workers made significant progress overnight to ensure the bridge is now safe for travel.It had been closed since last Tuesday, after two rods and a crossbar snapped, sending five thousand pounds of metal into traffic.
