In state news tonight:Police say a St. Louis Park officer shot and killed a man after an altercation early Tuesday.Officer John Herman is on paid administrative leave while the incident is being investigated.Authorities say Herman had just gotten off duty at about 2:30 A-M and was driving a personal vehicle when he saw a truck being driven erratically on Minnetonka boulevard.The truck stopped and Herman got into ``an altercation with at least one of the occupants.''Herman shot one man, who died at the scene.The other occupant is being questioned.The Hennepin County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
