Nicollet County has until December 31 to find additional grant money in their efforts to expand Minnemishinona Falls Park.The county wants to buy 2-point-8 acres next to the Falls on Judson Bottom Road primarily to expand parking.County administrator Bob Podhradsky says the asking price of the property is $115,000.The county already has a $64,000 D-N-R grant, but that expires the end of this year.. it's money they have to use...or they lose it.So, Podhradsky says they are looking for other monies to go with it...Bob Podhradsky says, " We are pursuing various grants. That responsibility rests with our Director of Public Works Seth Greenwood. In his words, he'll turning over every rock to see where there is available, potential money."One improvement paid for and planned for 2010 is a pedestrian bridge crossing the river by the falls.
