(Mankato) Local people and groups are honored for their contributions to the greater Mankato community tonight.
The Greater Mankato Growth and the Convention and Visitors Bureau held their Awards & Hall of Fame gathering tonight at the Verizon Wireless Center.
Seven outstanding organizations and four individuals were honored.
This year’s award recipients are:
Greater Mankato Growth Awards:
-Greater Mankato Business Hall of Fame: James R. Weir Insurance Agency and Schmidt Siding & Window Co.
-Distinguished Business Award: ECS – Electrical Communication Specialists
-Entrepreneurial Business Award: Sports Institute
-Brian Fazio Business Education Partnership Award: MSU, Mankato Community Engagement Office
-Hap Halligan Award: Pam Year, MRCI WorkSource
-Young Professional of the Year: Robyn James, Milbrett Dauk & Co., Ltd.
-GMG Volunteer of the Year: John Daley, Valuation Specialists
