It was a big success last year and organizers have high hopes that this year will be even better.Mankato's second annual chilifest kicks off tomorrow benefiting that Minnesota Rett Syndrome Research Association and Veteran's Memorial Place in Mankato.The event turned out almost a thousand people last year, but a high profile guest judge has organizers expecting an even bigger turnout.Police Commander Amy Vokal says, "We have a special guest. The Lt. Governor is going to be one of our judges, which we're really excited about."Blue Earth County district court Judge Bradley Walker and our very own Nicole Winters will also be judging and meteorologist Nathan Harrington will be among the 23 competitors hoping to bring in the best chili.Chilifest goes from 11:00 to 4:00 tomorrow at Buster's Bar and Grill.
