Members from the Department of Public Safety are used to facing off against adversaries...well, today they faced off against several other organizations to see who makes the best chili in town.Today kicked off Mankato's second annual Chilifest, raising money for two very important causes.Proceeds from the event will go to Minnesota Rett Syndrome Research Association and Veteran's Memorial Place in Mankato.Trish says, "We need to take care of those who protect and serve and this is such a fun way to do it, it's all about taking care of those who have taken care of us."Twenty-three competitors brought Chili for everyone to enjoy but the fraternal order of police lodge 16 took home the grand prize.
