Researchers warn to check the labels closely if you are using herbal supplements...Randall Pinkston has that story and more in today's health watch report.on cam)Women who smoke may have a higher risk of developing seizures than non smokers.(take vo)Researchers found current smokers were between two and three times more likely than non smokers to suffer a seizure over 16 years.The long running health study looked at more than 100-thousand women in the United States.(wipe vo)Some herbal supplements may boost levels of lead in women's blood.New research shows, blood lead levels were about 10 percent higher in women.. who used specific herbal supplements. The same outcome did not have a similar affect in men. Scientists looked about more than 12-thousand men and women from age 20 and older.(wipe vo)The World Health Organization will donate 9 million H1N1 flu shots to the Phiippines. The WHO assured the country the vaccines were safe.
