A State trooper draws and fires his gun during a foot chase in Steele County this morning.It happened on Interstate 35 just north of Hope around 10:30 a.m.The Steele County sheriff says a trooper had pulled a vehicle over and was walking towards it when the driver took off on foot.After running through a wooded wind barrier, the suspect allegedly crouched and aimed something at the trooper, so the trooper fired several rounds.The suspect fled again.Local agencies and the state patrol set up a perimeter and eventually caught the suspect.No injuries have been reported.The suspect remains in custody and officers are searching the scene.
