More than 600 people hit the streets in New Ulm today to take part in the Heart of New Ulm four mile fun run.The purpose of the event is to encourage people to get out and be active during the winter months.And today's winter weather didn't keep people away as organizers say the response to this inaugural run/walk is incredible.The Heart of New Ulm is a 10-year initiative designed to reduce, and eventually eliminate heart attacks in New Ulm.It is a joint effort between Allina Hospitals, The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, the New Ulm Medical Center and the City of New Ulm.
