The Toys for Tots drive is in its 61st year, and today in Mankato they got a big donation from an area school.The St. Clair student council set a goal of 250 toys to collect for Toys for Tots, but they collected 658.Students from St. Clair dropped off the toys the collected at Heintz Toyota, and they said they were proud to help during the holiday season.Beth Ireland says, "We just wanted to help out the community. St. Clair always pulls through just like we did this year. Especially since we have a really small community. To see what we can do is really amazing."This is the second year St. Clair has donated toys to the organization.They eclipsed last year's total donation by over 200.
