Owatonna Mayor Enters State Senate Race

Another candidate has come forward hoping to fill the senate seat vacated by Owatonna senator Dick Day.Owatonna Mayor Thomas Kuntz will seek the Republican Party endorsement at the GOP convention in Faribault later this month.Day will leave the senate effective January 8th, to push for slot machines at two Minnesota racetracks.The special election is set for January 26th... with a primary on January 12 if needed.Also in the running: Republican Mike Parry, of Waseca, and Independence Party candidate and current Waseca mayor Roy Srp.
