I'm Lisa Cownie...Plenty of evidence on the bottom of our screen... schools are closing because of high winds and near zero visibility.Let's get you up to date with the latest information.Much of the viewing area is under a Blizzard Warning.Right now, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is advising no unnecessary travel in south central or Southwestern Minnesota because of poor driving conditions. In fact, Nicollet County officials have pulled the plows off of county roads because of the visibility problems. And within the last hour, Mn-DOT has also closed State Highway 19 between Redwood Falls and Marshall. And in the southwestern Minnesota town of Tracy, the school remains open, but administrators there say parents are encouraged to come pick up their kids.If you can not make it to the school, buses will run as soon as there is a break in the weather.Of course, for all the latest weather-related announcements, tune in here or online... at KEYC-dot-TV...
