Final Day On The Campaign Trail For Srp

Srp also joined us this morning as he spent one final day on the campaign trail.  As a member of the Independence Party, Srp plans to caucus with both Democrats and Republicans to help the people of District twenty-six feel connected to the capitol.  Roy Srp says, "The people are itching for a chance to get connected again, but they don't feel they have any opportunity to do that.  An Independent can do that.  The Independence party can do that."  Srp's DFL opponent Jason Engbrecht responded this afternoon by saying he understands people's frustrations between the parties, but it comes down to kind of person you elect, and if that person is willing to reach across the aisle.  Republican Mike Parry says he is connected and he's ready to reach across party lines, because with spending being out of control the time to take action is now.  District 26's Special Election will take place tomorrow.
