Pennsylvania congressman John Murtha has died.Murtha's office says the Democrat died at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington this afternoon.He was admitted to the hospital after complications from gallbladder surgery.Murtha served in the Marine Corps and was the first Vietnam veteran elected to congress.He was also Pennsylvania's longest serving member of congress, and recently gained notoriety as a sharp critic of the Iraq war.Congressman John Murtha was 77.
