Gustavus Adolphus College is one of nine gold medal winners recognized for its use of social media.Gustavus is the only Minnesota college recognized by College Surfing Dot Com and joins the list with universities like Tufts and Yale.The college not only uses Facebook and Twitter, but also Flickr, Youtube and Linked-In.A spokesperson for Gustavus says social media helps build relationships and impacts the college's mission for the future.GAC Asst. VP of Marketing and Communications Stacia Vogel says, "Continue to attract the right students here who really are the type of students who really thrive here who are really interested in community service, leadership and learning."The college's President is only one of two college presidents in Minnesota who is tweeting.One of the highest viewed videos for Gustavus is a buzzer beater shot at a basketball game.
