Authorities say fog may have played a role in a car versus train accident late last night in Brown County.The Springfield Police Department says the accident happened around 11 pm.A woman driving an Oldsmobile Cutlass stopped at a sign on County Road Five.She then began to cross the tracks...and that's when she was struck on the rear driver's side.Authorities believe the fog may have prevented her from seeing the train.An officer with the department says the woman was taken to the Springfield hospital suffering only minor injuries.
