Blue Earth County Fair Kicks Off

Finally tonight:The Blue Earth County Fair not only features food and rides... the animals are also a yearly staple.Livestock judging kicked off the four "H" activities today... with both a poultry and sheep show.Kids are judged on their individual project whether it is an experiment or animal.If they qualify high enough, they can even take their work to the State Fair.The displays at the fair show off what the kids have done throughout the year.4-H Coordinator Amanda Sommers says, "they get to spend time together with their friends, not only to see how they've done with their projects but they get to spend times with those other 4Hers that they've met thoughout the year... so they're excited."The last show is Saturday Morning.The kids' projects will be displayed for the remainder of the fair.
